The authorities are doing their very best to solve this problem.Some of the efforts are putting up fines.People do not want to waste money on unnecessary things like fines.So, they do not litter in order to prevent from getting fined. This is very effective as it reduces the amount of pollution.The URA should conduct water activities so that people could understand the water condition and care about the water, preventing water pollution from happening.
